On Saturday the 2nd of July, Rolando Salsa & Orquesta was invited by the All Dances Association of Sainte-Lheurine to animate their mega Fiesta Latina. We were happy to accompany dancers of the Zumba Party (on the right) with a selection of lively musics such as Un poquito más, Mi cuerpo me pide salsa, Salta Salta or the famous dueña del Swing. We also played a Latino concert with various songs from salsa, cumbia or bachata for the greatest pleasure of lovers of latin music.
A big thank to the teachers Aloïs, Jennifer, Zakary, Stéphanie and all the volunteers for the wonderful organization. We also thank all the participants for the awesome ambiance ! You can find the photos and videos of the event on our site as well as our Facebook page or YouTube channel. Looking forward to seeing you soon on the dance floor for a next Fiesta Latina !
Some extracts from our first album are now available on our web site. “Un poquito más” aims at impregnating a new style, fruit of a human meeting between artists belonging to various musical universes. It is influenced by the greatest names of porto-american salsa such as the Fania All-Stars, Héctor Lavoe or El Gran Combo de Puerto-Rico. One can also recognize some inpirations from miscellaneous horizons, going from classic music to the most festive songs of la Réunion. These compositions subtly mix the languages of Cervantés and Molière by means of a wide range of latino rhythms such as Salsa, Cumbia or Bachata.
